Thank God For The Red And White Stand!

Mike Huckabee, the former governor of Arkansas and Fox News host, has had enough of what he called the “vicious hate speech and

intolerant bigotry” aimed at Chick-fil-A.

The former presidential candidate is upset that the fast food chicken chain has been the target of criticism in the wake of Chick-fil-A

President Dan Cathy’s saying last week that his company supports “the biblical definition of the family unit.”

On his Facebook page, Huckabee announced that Aug. 1 will be “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day,” a day on which he is encouraging people

to patronizethe fast food chain.

Huckabee, a former Arkansas governor and talk show host, announced his campaign to support Chick-fil-A this week. More than 100,000

people have RSVP’d.

The goal is simple: Let’s affirm a business that operates on Christian principles and whose executives are willing to take a stand for the

Godly values we espouse by simply showing up and eating at Chick Fil-A on Wednesday, August 1. Too often, those on the left make

corporate statements to show support for same sex marriage, abortion, or profanity, but if Christians affirm traditional values, we’re

considered homophobic, fundamentalists, hate-mongers, and intolerant.

Rick Santorum is joining Mike Huckabee’s campaign to support Chick-fil-A as the company takes a stand against same-sex marriage.

The former GOP presidential candidate posted a message on his Facebook page today encouraging his followers to back Huckabee’s

appreciation day for the company Aug. 1.

Help us fight for traditional families and eat chicken at the same time,” Santorum said in his Facebook post.

On Wednesday morning, the owner of the largest Wendy’s franchise in the world updated the marquees at multiple Carolina stores stating, “We stand with Chick-fil-A,” in support of Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.

When asked about the company’s support of “traditional” families, Chick-fil-A President Dan Cathy said, “Guilty as charged.” His remarks

to the Baptist Press about what he calls the biblical definition of family have attracted widespread attention and sparked calls for boycotts.

Nothing cowardly about this stand!  Christians across the land have been Energized!

For The very basic fundamental principle of life and the fundamental principle of a Godly Stance.  Love God And Love God’s Awesome

Created, Eternally Inscribed, Holy Matrimonial View of Marriage.

As a Christian myself, feeling intimidated by other views that have now been accepted in this society is not what is acceptable.

Surely if the course of this world wants all to accept whatever is being absorbed in the everyday aspect of life coming from their point of

view, then surely Christians should take a courageous stand for the living God who is the creator of all beings.  They should boldly,

proudly, and unwavingly stand up for a God focused, God loving and caring America!

And I’ll Gladly Stand Up For Filet And Defend Their Godly Principles On Any day!  Cause Their Ain’t No Doubt That I Love God’s Land!

God Bless The U.S. A.!

Genesis 2:21

And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man [NKJV: a man shall] leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

  1. I participated! I posted about this this morning on Facebook and I’m just going to copy the text here since it is so long and I am so lazy 🙂 But here is my take on this:

You know what really gripes me about this? People want to make out like this is about gay marriage. It is NOT about gay marriage – it is about freedom, something this country is quickly losing a grasp on. Because someone holds a certain
opinion or viewpoint local government officials are going to keep them from operating a business? Give me a break people. Do you ask the moral beliefs and opinions of every business that you patronize? I think not. SUPPOSEDLY, EVERYONE has an equal opportunity to prosper in this country. If for some reason you just happen to find out that the opinions or beliefs of a business owner differs from yours and it is your personal conviction not to patronize that business, do so at your own discretion, but don’t tell or expect others to do the same, and we should certainly not expect government officials to regulate if that company is ALLOWED to do business. So far as I know, having an opinion is not illegal. Yet.

    • That is my point! You got it! How is it that one voice gets shut down the voice that holds the truth and the other without the truth and does not hold truth but an opinion of what they see fit to do in their own eye sight gets to appear as though they are correct. We need leaders. Standing up for christian principles does not make you a basher. Christians are now being bashed, tormented, scrutinized, boycotted and crucified for telling and standing up for truth as our forefathers boldly did and gladly acclaimed. Wickedness will surely come to a firey end. Moloesting the truth does not change the truth from being the truth.

Stand up boldly for truth should now become a practice. We need to take back America and return it to a Godly nation with Godly principles, with Godly leaders, one of freedom, one of true moral standards, one that God looks on and sends favor, one that God returns prosperity to, one where God grants peace from her enemies.

God grants peace and prosperity! Not man. That is why we are in the mess that we are in and it will continue to get worse untill we return to God and Godly principles!

      • You are correct – Christians are now being bashed but it does say in the Bible that you will be persecuted for your faith. It seems as if Christians are the only group of people that are actually persecuted these days. As long as you don’t quote the Bible, pretty much anything goes.

  2. When governments and municipalities are allowed to control the behavior of its citizens based on their own perceived moral or political grounds then the freedom of all Americans is jeopardized.

  3. Hooray for Chick-Fil-A! Didn’t get to participate in this, but glad that the turn-out was such a success. =)

    @ – photographybyjoylene
Forgive me for jumping into this conversation, but I wouldn’t say that Christians are the only ones being persecuted nowadays.

    • I completely agree with what you said about freedom though (it was very well said!). Personally, I think they’re afraid to let biblical values have equal footing with the others because somehow, they know that the Truth is stronger. =)

    • This is true. Here the focus of the topic is what is happening to the christians. We focus enough on the suffering of others all the time. Right now it is time to devote as much attention as possible to this dire subject matter. There will be time enough to focus on other topics as well.

      God Bless!

  4. Amen, Sister! I tried to get in Chick-Fil-A but had a long wait – too long for the time I had for a sandwich. I am proud that Christians turned out and supported Cathey and that the liberals’ plan backfired; God bless the Catheys and Chick-Fil-A. The whole thing might have been the best thing that ever happened to CFA. Huckabee certainly ignited Christian participation.

  5. Thelma, a great post…let me say that the comment of PHOTOGRAPHYBYJOYLENE is very intelligent and lovely, close to my position: Love is God, God is Love…chrystians can be lovers and this is enough, I say, loving is an enough action. The well being of any human being in any country of this world is my only action, daily action. My daily trial is just love the other people like I try to love myself. Love is freedom. Loving is lovely action. Love, just, is enough. I mean, loving is the proof of love. Dear Love, guide every people. Warm regards. Walter

    • Hi Walter! The Christians suppoort to Chic-Fil-a was an action out of the very act of love. Christians are some of the most loving people in the world. Their main focus is learning about how to love. Just like their are loving people in the world who aren’t christians, their are people who support the movement made here out of was is right principle. Now there are non loving humans who are from any and every culture in the world. The focus here is what the christians are suffering right now. There will again be plenty of time for other subjects.

  6. This was not an act of love. It was part of the sport we call politics; the kissing in front of Chick-Fil-A that the other side did was also a part of the sport. The loving thing would be to find common ground and try to understand the opposition. That’s how a marriage works: The partners need to try to understand each other and communicate rather than compete; otherwise, it’s going to be a very rough time for them.

The whole thing is sad to me. We’re just dividing people into Christians and Liberals, and both sides see the other side as hateful, intolerant bigots. I don’t think either side is so simple-minded. There has to be some common ground and compromise to be found.

    • This protest was not iniated or condoned by Chich Fil-A. They had nothing to do with it at all. In fact, they clearly made that known. This act of love and support was shown because Chick Fil-a chose to suffer in silence the violent in difference from the gay community. They boycotted, have been very open with indifference, biggorty and then, finally Chick Fil-A was given and shown love and support by the Christian community. Is supporting this christian orginizastion that represents God’s priciples an act of hated? Not so. No one is perfect but Christ and I do not expect this orginizarion to be perfect with all decisions as well. Then, the response to mere support that reflected not in particular to their behavior but just simply financial support was let’s go and demonstrate who we are by kissing outside of their restaurants. Yet, it was done as if Chich Filk-A had protested against them for acts of kissings.

Do I believe that violence should be directed at any group of individuals? No! But neither does any group or individuals have the right to have aggressive behavior against another or all other groups of people simply because they were previous targets or for any reason at all. No matter where the okay for the acts of violence come from. What is sad is when christians are not taking bold stands such as this and stay inhiding while people die and go straight to a burning hell.

I am very proud of the awkening in the christian community on broad issues. Not that they do not take a stand against isues but this was very widely supported as it should have been. This is correct and not an act of biggorty. They did not respond by going to where they hang and kiss as male and female which indeed would have been appropriate. That is God’s order.

Jesus spoke clearly on the marriage and marriage issues. I will post his words. Jesus also addressed the sin and love issues as well. This is not the partners needing to understand each other as you state. A marriage is male and female and not just simply partners. It is a Holy Uniting of beings in the sight of God who gives his approval. Partners can consist of anything and any amount in a union. It is a recognized union by some states and not a marriage by God’s standards.

What standards the world adopts is a sin issue. Jesus will judge all sin at the great throne of judgedment. How do you win any one in blanted sin? By the word of God and yes love.

I certainly cannot win you with hate. But I will not tolerate acts of hate and violence against me as well simply because I am a christian and stand for christian values.

Here is God, Jesus views on marriage and love issue for all:

      Genesis 2:18-24 KJV

And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. And out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them; and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept, and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof. And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, this is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one.

      Romans 1:21-32

      New International Version (NIV)

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

      Matthew 19:4-6 NIV

Haven’t you read, he replied, that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and said, For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate

      Matthew 22:35-40 NIV
One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: Love the lord your God with all your heart and with all your should and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

      Mark 10:6-10 NIV
      God’s order for Marriage
But at the beginning of creation God made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother to be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate

      John 15 9:12 KJV
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you. continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, and abide in his love, even as i have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment. That ye love one another as I have loved you.

      Romans 12:1-3, 9-13 NIV
      Holy Living
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you. Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you. Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

      1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NIV
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angers, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

      Ephesians 4:25-5:2 NIV
      Godly living
Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to his neighbor, for we all are members of one body. “In your anger do not sin.” Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.

      Ephesians 5:21-33

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church; and he is the savior of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it. That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word. That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church. For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

      Colossians 3:12-17 NIV

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, whether in word of deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

      God Bless!

      • Each side accuses the other of hatred and neither side makes no effort to reach out. It’s all “They are liberals and they are sinners!” or “They are Christians and they are bigots!” We’re so concerned about our own interests that we neglect everybody else’s needs, but love “is not self-seeking.”

It is about understanding. Is it possible to love another without making an effort to understand them? I don’t think so. I just see people labeling others as liberals or conservatives out to get us and destroy America/freedom/Christianity/etc. and forgetting that everybody, even those on the opposite polar, are just as human as us. Everybody in this controversy has valid grievances and needs, and until we acknowledge that and make an effort to reach out rather than demand satisfaction for slights against us–“Love keeps no record of wrongs.”–, there will just be hostility, which is not love.

I don’t see that happening, of course,–People generally prefer to take sides and engage in tribalism–, but I will always hope for it, because that’s what love does.

It is funny that you mentioned Matthew 19:4-6 though, especially this verse, “Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” I don’t think anybody will argue that’s one tradition that fell out of favor.

  7. Hello and nice to meet you Thank you for liking a post. Your has some power to it;) Glad that God gave us Choices good or bad whatever it is we shall be Judge by him. So let’s do our best before the time comes. .Life is really to short so do your best;)Thanks for the blog;)
